For legal counsel assisting in a large accident or medical malpractice case, Accident Attorneys Association members were advised to review case statements filed by members with information that may potentially be misleading.

"We encourage Accident Attorneys Association members, clients, and a potential investor to review case documents closely so they can make a firm decision about whether to retain Accident Attorneys Association members," said California-based ALI President Nicholas D. Schreck. "We urge both parties to obtain professional advice and be sure to communicate as clearly as possible."

ALI members and clients are advised to avoid agreeing to any actions without an evaluation of the potential outcomes and alternatives before and after the action. If any legal advice about the case is received and sent to an unsuspecting client, such action may constitute a legal malpractice.
